down under

yes i finally got internet set up! but it's limited to 2 gig worth of downloads only so will use sparingly. which means not too many webcam conferences...

anyway, melbourne is great! nice (quite) big and pretty room which was super clean to start with (unlike jie's hostel i was told). except my internet isn't wireless so i cant really lie on the bed and use. which is good too coz that'll just mean i'll fall asleep.

ok temperature update: 8 degrees when i arrived, and it's been going around about 8 to 13 degrees.

stuff here is kinda ex, but fruits are dirt cheap. like, 1kg oranges for 99 cents. but, i HATE oranges. bleag. on the bright side though, my room is really not bad. reasonably big, good layout, and decorated with jay posters! will start putting photos up soon...

ok anw, wanna thank everyone who came down to see me off at the airport! was damn fun/touching/scary to have so many ppl there. haha. and ironically, it's probably coz u all went, that i dint cry. =) i only teared slightly. SLIGHTLY.

yeap, so now i'm down under. i miss chinese food. i miss warmth. i miss my family. i miss my friends. i miss sleeping without blankets. i miss taking cold showers. i miss alot of other random things like lying on the cold floor, ice cream, not having to care about bills and such. and i miss my darling.

that said, 4 years is a short time. especially since i intend to go back at every chance i get. and the experience will be just so great that maybe i won't wanna go back. haha.

random (sometimes useless) facts
it takes exactly the time to talk from the first to last carridge as it takes for the mrt to travel from bishan to braddell. (found out on last day in singapore when going to airport)
cold tends to bite through the toes and fingertips
it takes alot of time to unpack, and even more time to go buy stuff that i dint bring.
australia's internet connection sucks! it's not wireless, and it's so ex... 60 AUD for 2 gig.
tralala is MY trademark line.
get a small size heater instead of using the room's (if u're paying yr electricity bill) coz it saves alot (i hope)
and blah blah blah blah blah. i'll think of more next time...

hint to everyone: bring whatever u think u can bring, and whatever u can shove into the luggage. sleeping on my pillow and hugging my blanket probably helped me through my first night significantly. and bring thermal wear. it can save lives.
